Litter Picker

Location: Newmarket, CB8 0XE

Shifts: This is a zero-hour Litter Picker role, giving you the flexibility to work across a variety of Raceday events. No minimum hours are guaranteed, and shifts will be offered based on business needs. We are looking for someone who is flexible and able to support with ad hoc cover when available. You will have the flexibility to accept or decline shifts offered.

Hourly Rate: £12.71

What you’ll be doing: 

• Litter picking during and after Racing events. 

• Ensuring public areas remain clean and tidy. 

• Emptying litter bins into appropriate waste & recycling containers. 

• Working as part of a team to meet high standards of cleanliness. 

• Always Maintaining Health and Safety standards. 

• Handling site-based equipment safely (full training provided).

  You’ll also need:

  • A great attitude and willingness to learn (experience is helpful but not essential, as we’ll fully train you)
  • The ability to carry out the physical aspects of the role (this is an active, outdoor position)
  • A basic level of spoken English for safety and communication on site
  • Good communication skills to interact confidently with the public and your team
  • The right to work in the UK (you’ll need to bring your documents to interview)
