  • About The Role

  • We’re looking for a commercially savvy, people-first Business Development Manager to drive growth across the South West region. Reporting to the Business Unit Managing Director, you’ll identify and secure new cleaning contracts, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the retention of key accounts. You’ll work closely with our operational teams to deliver tailored, high-impact service proposals that align with Atlas’s purpose: to create happiness in ourselves and others.

    You’ll be empowered to shape and implement a regional sales strategy that highlights the strengths of Atlas—our reliability, agility, and family-first culture. You'll also act as a key ambassador for our values, promoting quality, trust, and shared success both internally and externally.

    This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-trust environment, enjoys autonomy, and knows how to turn opportunities into lasting partnerships.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and convert new business opportunities within the South West

    • Prepare and present bespoke client proposals with measurable value

    • Build and nurture strong, long-term client relationships

    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery

    • Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and sector changes

    • Represent Atlas at external meetings, site visits, and networking events

    • Forecast pipeline activity and report progress to the Managing Director

     

  • About You

  • You’re a natural relationship-builder with a strategic mindset and a drive for results. You understand the dynamics of winning new contracts in a service-based environment, ideally with experience in cleaning, FM, or education.

    You’ll bring commercial acumen, outstanding communication skills, and the tenacity to open doors and win trust. You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, always looking for opportunities to go the extra mile and create ‘Wow’ moments for clients.

    You’ll need:

    • Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within FM or cleaning

    • A consultative and strategic approach to client acquisition

    • Strong presentation and negotiation skills

    • Confidence working independently and collaboratively

    • A full UK driving licence and good knowledge of the South West region
