Job role: Floor maintenance operative (porterage)
Working pattern: Friday night and Sunday night ONLY
Working hours: 06:00-18:00 (flexible start & finish times as per business needs)
To carry out all duties required in connection with the porterage and cleaning. Job is physically demanding, requiring excellent attention to detail, willingness to adapt and learn within short period of time. Will require wearing tight fitting respiratory protection equipment (rubber face mask with filters) while carrying out some porterage and cleaning tasks.

Labelling of furniture, setting up and setting down of furniture (involves moving the furniture from one area to the other) and surrounding areas in preparation for wood floor treatment over the weekend across the office floors

To move the furniture around the building in a safe manner as per manual handling training provided. To ensure that damage is not cause to one’s health nor clients property

Protecting different surfaces with the materials and as per training provided to ensure that no damage is caused while cleaning works are carried out

To deep clean and oil the wood floor with specialist products as per manufacturer’s instructions and training provided

To pressure wash external building paving using specialist equipment and chemicals as per training provided

To deep clean and treat stone floor with specialist chemicals

To carry out general cleaning duties as instructed within the premises/demised area

To use vacuum, scrubbers and other items of cleaning equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, Health and Safety manuals and only after appropriate training has been received

To ensure a thorough understanding of site Health and Safety information

To have read and abide by specific site rules and regulations

To handle and use any chemical or solution only in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, and after reading and fully understanding the appropriate COSHH sheets

Responding positively to any reasonable instruction from a Manager

Displaying a positive, friendly and ‘can-do’ attitude

Presenting a friendly and helpful attitude to customers

Ensuring that every duty is carried out in a safe manner and that all Health and Safety legislation is adhered to, particularly the placing of warning signs when attempting any cleaning task that may involve risk to others

Completing Company administration in a timely and effective manner.

Ensuring all company property is kept safe and in good condition

Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies
Experience in specialist cleaning wood and stone floors, and usage of cleaning machinery and porterage. Good communication skills, positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to ever-changing environment, excellent customer service.
